International aircraft museum & Master plan military academy and annexes

During her time with us, Marcela contributed significantly to the early design stages of the projects, creating a number of feasibility studies and developing master plan design options to incredibly tight deadlines.

In particular she developed a complete concept design proposal for an international aircraft museum set within a wider masterplan including conferencing facilities and a teaching academy. The documentation produced for end user client presentation included contextual analysis, concept floor plans and 3D views. The proposal was well-researched, comprehensive, visually stunning and very well received by our clients.

Her attention to detail and creative approach to problem-solving were evident throughout the project, and we were highly impressed by her ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality. London: 3 Office -retail Buildings+Masterplan

Marcela was assigned as the senior design architect and team leader on the Victoria Transport Interchange 2 pre-planning application proposal. Marcela joined the team at a very early stage and was responsible for developing the design of all three KPF buildings that formed part of the masterplan. Marcela managed other members of the KPF team in developing the massing, interior layout, and façade treatment from initial concept to the detail required for the planning application to be submitted. The programme that the team was working to was very tight, and Marcela, as team leader, was able to demonstrate at the fortnightly client meetings significant progress on all aspects of the design, achieving a very clear design proposal from a concept design in a very short period of time. It was this proposal that was then developed into the application scheme by the team under Marcela's guidance. Marcela prepared and coordinated all of the material required for the CABE presentation and was also responsible for the delivery of the Planning Application Design Statements. Marcela demonstrated that she was fully committed to the project at all times and put considerable time and effort into ensuring that the design was progressed and that the application was submitted on time.

Dubai: Residential Buildings

Marcela worked on this concept study for residential prototypes in Dubai. She was responsible for developing concept proposals for a large private villa and a luxury waterfront apartment block.

The villa prototype was conceived as a high-end residence of up to 3,000 sqm. Marcela explored and developed a series of alternatives and provided valuable design suggestions reflecting the specifics of the brief and of the local context. Marcela did an equally good job at quickly understanding the key issues involved in developing the second typology she then worked on. Her ideas and design suggestions were straight to the point and constructive, and her commitment to work as long as necessary to finish what was required from her is noteworthy.
