Belgisch Park
House extension
Luxury Transformation of a Dutch Family Home
The Hague, Netherlands
Project Overview:
Set in The Hague, Netherlands', within the Belgisch Park environmental protection area, this home extension and transformation required careful consideration of local regulations. The area regulations mandate that homes either remain untouched or maintain a uniform aesthetic to preserve the integrity of the neighborhood.
Despite these constraints, we have successfully reimagined a classic Dutch home to meet modern family needs, blending functional elegance, high-performance materials, and sustainable living spaces. Foremost, we have achieved the Planing permissions to build it.
Key Features:
Kitchen Extension: Merges indoor and outdoor spaces, inviting natural light and seamless garden views.
Living Room & Kitchen Connection: Creates a flow between spaces for both intimate dinners and family gatherings.
Dining Room Extension: Opens to the side garden, enhancing dining with outdoor views.
Bespoke Master Bedroom Window: Maximizes light, connecting the room to the garden and green roof terrace.
Garage Transformation: Converts the garage into a multi-functional space, perfect for an office, guest house, or winter retreat, with kitchen, bathroom, and new windows that reinforce the dialogue with the house life via the proposed landscape design of the backyard.

Meets all Dutch Building Codes, ensuring safety, comfort, and energy efficiency.
Daylight Compliance: All spaces exceed natural light standards.
Sound Insulation: Privacy and tranquility across the home.
